A couple of Firsts

Today Mrs Hojo ate the first 2 peaches from the dwarf tree we planted. The size of a plum and yummy! (don't tell the children, ok?)

We also used the huge BBQ for the first time, actually we spit roast a chicken with stuffing to make sure it works for the Christmas Turkey. Gas BBQ and Electric Spit.
It came out tender and juicy, really good and no mess!

Now I am starting to feel a little Christmassy.

No pictures because it is dark now, next time.....

I can't get over the whole BBQing your turkey thing. I can't even cope with the thought of it being warm over Christmas!

The barbecue sounds very deluxe. Can you cook Christmas puddings on it? Its wierd to think of barbies when its freezing cold here. All the puddles on the drive had ice on them a couple of days ago.

We are just about getting into it, although our weather is being affected by a cyclone up north!

The spit bit is in front of an infra red 'grill' so I guess the whole thing becomes an oven, I have never cooked my own pud so I honestly don't know! I buy ready made a ping!

The children remember sliding on those puddles the year we made 'snow-jo'

I bought a christmas tree decoration today, ho ho ho!
