Little Old Lady

Tuesday 18th August 2009
Marisa was in the spotlight at school again today, she played the part of an old lady in a play about knowing who your friends are and knowing how to treat them.
Her portrayal of the old lady got rave reviews around the school; Ian reckons she has been studying her mums’ characteristics and used them to make it look realistic. Carolyn reckons Ian will get a smack in the mouth when he gets home from work.
Fraser and Marisa went to Scouts this evening, Carolyn went along half way through because there was supposed to be a committee meeting, only to find that the meeting had been cancelled and it hadn’t occurred to anyone to let her or another mum know, she was not happy, but we still don’t know which one she was. We later found out that the other mum had only been asked that day to take over Secretary duties for the evening, nice.
After the kids went to bed we watched the Clint Eastwood film, High Plains Drifter, it was one that Ian had watched years ago and it seemed so good at the time, it didn’t seem quite so good this time. You can tell Ian has been saving films on the Foxtel thingybob, they have all been fairly dire, proving that tv is a waste of time, snicker.
