Bledisloe Cup

Saturday 2nd August 2008
It wasn’t raining this morning when Ian got up for work, it didn’t rain on his way into work either, it couldn’t last though and we had a couple of downpours mid morning.
In general though it was quite a pleasant day, the sun was shining for most of the day and after work we were able to make the most of it with a walk on the beach.
Carolyn made more mash again this morning before coming into work, she had to come in as cover because we were short staffed. That is to say that we would have been short staffed if the customers had turned out in their usual numbers, it was not going to be today, the whole centre was dead and we had what was probably our worst day to date.
Carolyn stopped off at the Vets on the way into work and reserved another cat, this one is called Silver, is a couple of years old and she is picking him up on Monday. We still haven’t decided on a name for the one we got yesterday, although Shadow is looking favourite as then we will have Silver Shadow.
In the evening we went to Stilts, when we arrived the Bledisloe Cup Rugby Match between the Wallabies and the All Blacks was on, it was almost the end of the game and the bar was a bit quiet, it probably had something to do with the fact that the Wallabies were getting stuffed 34 – 10.
We came home early, ordered a pizza and watched a James Bond film with the kids before hitting the pit at about 9.30 pm.
