Bring on the tourists

Saturday 14th June 2008
Carolyn and the kids went Walkabout round town today but weren’t carrying very much when they came back, so it couldn’t have been too expensive.
Ian spent all day working in the Café, the people of Busselton do not go shopping after lunchtime on a Saturday, it is not part of their routine to do so, they never have, and they are not about to start just because the Café is open for longer hours. No doubt when the tourists turn up we will pick up a bit more trade then. You can see why the previous owners closed early, but for the time being we will just soldier on waiting for the tourists to arrive.
In the evening we went for a stroll along the beach and showed Carolyn some of the damage that the Tornado had done while she was away. Surprise, surprise we ended up at Stilts Bar, had a couple of beers and then came home along the beach path, ably assisted by three kids with torches.
When we got home, the kids went to bed while Ian and Carolyn fell asleep in front of the telly, now that’s what you call family life.
