Conspiracy Theory

Tuesday 19th May 2009
Kristian was off school sick today, nothing major, he just loses all his energy from time to time and needs a bit of respite from the demands of growing up.
Marisa had to read the introduction to the school assembly this morning, a task she performed quite admirably by all accounts.
Carolyn stayed at home with Kristian all morning catching up with paperwork and all sorts of exciting things like that, Kristian must have been feeling poorly because when Carolyn turned up at the CafĂ© in the afternoon there were no signs of her ears having bled, that’s always a good sign that he’s poorly if you have to spend any significant amount of time with him.
Needless to say, with Carolyn unable to work we were busy, Ian is going to interview a girl tomorrow who is happy to work just a couple of hours a day, so that should alleviate the child sickness/unable to work problem in the future.
Fraser and Marisa went to Scouts this evening, they are going on yet another camp in a couple of weeks time, only this one is a competition where they compete with other troops. As a rule the Scouts are a totally unruly lot who couldn’t organise a bun fight in a cake shop, hopefully this will pull them together and teach them how to be organised and disciplined, but we don’t hold out much hope.
Carolyn had to go to a Scout Parent meeting, it sounds a bit disorganised and the ground rules are so vague as to be almost non existent, some people want all the benefits from the fund raising without actually doing anything towards it, while those that are willing to help don’t want to do it all.
Watch this space.
After the kids went to bed we watched another Mel Gibson film, Conspiracy theory, it is a great film and well worth the extra little bit to his divorce fund.

That's always the way of it. A hardy few do all the work & the rest of the lazy sods want to reap the benefits.

As for the divorce fund. I am happy to contribute to Me'ls wife. She's put up with a lot over the years & I'm not surprised she's fed up & had enough.

Thats how it is at church too. 90 percent of the work is done by ten percent of the people.

I don't believe for one minute that the workers don't do a lot of it for their own satisfaction. Go to any organised group and you'll find the grafters. They love it, especially if they get to complain afterwards. As for church groups...don't get me started.

Have to agree, ganeida.

And with you Mrs D.

And anon, as don't 'know' who you are all I can say is yes, I enjoy doing my bit and I don't mind at all if I get thanked for it and believe the right to whine a little about the workload is acceptable bearing in mind the amount of time and effort put in, only whinging to other participants acceptable though imo
