Help from the chaplain

Thursday 5th June 2008
The kids were up as usual at 6am but not in a good frame of mind, the boys are not too bad and just ask questions from time to time, but Marisa is suffering badly and hasn’t got a clue how to deal with it.
During the day, Marisa was having trouble concentrating at school so she spent some time with the Chaplain. He has obviously had to deal with this sort of situation before and talks to her about it before giving her a couple of books to read which cover the subject but from a Childs point of view. The idea of having a Chaplain in school for children to confide in is a brilliant one and has certainly had a beneficial effect on Marisa, and she knows where he is if she wants to talk further, all schools should have one.
In the evening the kids were not happy but were much more settled.
