Pen and Ink

Thursday 1st October 2009
It was a busy day at the Café again today, not as busy as Tuesday but busy none the less and we are now getting used to working with a slightly disjointed workforce, so it was not quite so stressful.
We had a guy come round the house to give us a quote for laying a row of limestone bricks round the edge of our lawn, we are hoping that if we put a barrier between the lawn and the flower beds we won’t have so much trouble turning the soil over each spring.
Fraser and Marisa came home from camp this evening, they absolutely stank as they were not allowed to have showers where their camp was because soap and shampoo might get into the river system and destroy the ecological ambience of the place.
Instead they have fifteen teenager’ish kids and four adults who haven’t had a wash or bath between them for four days, generating a rather pungent aroma that has probably helped to significantly increase the size of the hole in the Ozone Layer over WA.
The kids had a great time and Kristian is glad that Fraser is back, he’s not so bothered about Marisa being back because she doesn’t play with him.
After long showers and a bite to eat the kids went straight to bed, tomorrow they are going to Perth for a long weekend with Ians sister Sharon and she has apparently got loads of things planned for them.

I hope Sharon's got showers planned for them, cos as parents, you really shouldn't have to suffer like that! lol
