Scout Camp Hangover

Monday 23rd March 2009
This week has started just as the last one finished, the Café was really quiet again and although that meant that we could catch up on a few things and get the place tidied up a bit, it won’t buy the baby new shoes as they say.
Marisa was exhausted after her camp at the weekend, when she went in to school this morning her teacher suggested that she go home for some sleep but Carolyn wasn’t going to wear that, cruel mother that she is, and made her stay at school and suffer.
It’s all part of the learning curve, Marisa knows it all and we have never done anything as exciting as her.
One day, probably when she is about our age she will realise that to have fun you have to have sleep and she will be passing this new found knowledge on to her offspring.
They in turn will think they know better and that she has never done anything as exciting as them, is talking a load of tosh and doesn’t know what she is talking about.

They in turn will think they know better and that their parents have never done anything as exciting as them, are talking a load of tosh and don’t know what they are talking about.
We could have great fun repeating this over and over until we got to the point where the fruit of our loins were related to everyone in the world, all the kids who knew best would be arguing with their parents who knew better, but it would be a boring read and very time consuming so we won’t bother, besides when you get to our age you need a nanny nap every other paragraph.
Kristian went to Cubs tonight and had a good time.
The baby bunnies are now starting to look like rabbits and eat like horses. According to the book you are most likely to have some die when they are being weaned off mum’s milk, but this lot are eating us out of house and home as well as making sure they get their share of milk.
After the kids went to bed we watched the film Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes, it is one of Stallones better ones and one that we enjoy watching from time to time.
