It was very busy at the Café today, all the people who didn’t turn up yesterday came in today, plus it was pension day, which should in theory bring a lot out to play.
We are noticing a lot of faces that we haven’t seen since just after we started at the Café a year ago, it’s all the grey nomads that come down here for a cheap holiday before winter sets in and they all remember Ian.
Ian fortunately has a good memory for faces, which is just as well because he’s crap with names, so as the old girls come in, he greets them like long lost friends asking them how they are, where they’ve been and gives them any old flannel that he can think up on the spur of the moment, they think it’s great. The staff just think it’s his way of skiving.
