Left Handed Paintbrush

Wednesday 29th October 2008
One of the old girls who comes into the café has invited us to her Birthday Party, Joyce is 84 today, is the Local Artist with the most paintings on the Café wall and yesterday while coming out of the Craft class she helps run for the Seniors, managed to fall over and break her wrist.
The party was from 10am to Noon and every Pensioner in Busselton must have been there, we took her a small canvas and a Left Handed Paint Brush as she can’t paint with her right at the moment.
We stayed for about an hour, but eventually the heat in the room was too much for us as the old dears wouldn’t open the door to let some fresh air in, so we said our fond farewells and headed off to Dunsborough for a bit of Xmas shopping and Lunch.
Xmas shopping wise there wasn’t much to make one dip into ones pocket, but we found a small Café that we hadn’t tried before and went in there for one of their Homemade Burgers and they were very tasty, although the kitchen staff didn’t know what was in them.
This evening after the kids had gone to bed, we watched a film called Jumper, it’s about a guy who can teleport himself to wherever he wants, it was very good.
