Carolyn flies back to UK

Thursday 29th May 2008
Checked our email first thing this morning and found one from Carolyn’s dad letting us know that her mums condition had deteriorated, although he didn’t say as much we could tell that it was his way of telling us that we might want to pay a visit.
At lunchtime Ian went to the Flight centre and got Carolyn booked onto a flight out of Perth tonight, Carolyn booked herself a coach ticket to Perth and Ian’s sister picked her up from the bus station and took her to the airport.
Ian and the kids waved Carolyn off as she left Busselton and as if the town hadn’t had enough rain dropped on it lately, the kids were crying in torrents. They have probably never been away from mum unless they were staying with Granny and Grandad, the thought of having to spend the next week or so under the auspices of that great Ogre, Dad.
It was a very sad, teary bedtime tonight. We are all just praying that everything will be ok.
